Almost Back to Normal

The library was closed today in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.  I slept in and it was soooo nice.  I had our bed all to myself.  I could stretch out across it, lay diagonally and hog the pillows and blankets to my heart’s content.  Sleeping in by yourself is much different than sleeping in with your husband by your side, but both are nice.

I finally dragged myself out of bed and goofed off on the internet for awhile before remembering that I had some new games in from GameFly to try out.  I went back upstairs and changed into workout clothes (because one of them is a workout game) and got to it.  I’ll review the games later, but suffice it to say that I got really sweaty, my muscles were sore/tired and I was completely out of breath.

Then I got ready for the day and realized that I hadn’t done anything useful.  *sigh*  Listening to the Procrastination Angel again…  Well, DH and I bought some plastic bins for the Christmas decorations so I took down the Christmas tree today.  A lot of the rest of the decorations are still up, but they require cleaning so they’ll come down on our next wash day.  The house is almost back to normal.

I also planned an upcoming trip to Monterey and Hearst Castle, and cooked Caribbean Fish Stew for dinner.  Now my hands smell like fish – ugh!  I’ll post the recipe in another entry.

Yup, that’s what I did with my day off.  Pretty uneventful, huh?  But it was nice to sit and do nothing for awhile.
